Rice says Arsenal have “unreal” young people who can follow in the footsteps of Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice claimed that the Gunners had “15 years in the country” in Max Dowman.

Fans are happy with the potential of young people and while Rice says Dowman is a “not real” talent, he needs to be put into a hard page if he wants to follow people like Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri to the first team:

“Max is the best 15 years old in this country. I have so many texts about Max recently, where people have just watched him, saying: ‘Wow, how talent’.”

“So he is a person who must be considered, but at the age of 15, there is still a long way to take. You can be the best 15 years in this country, but that is not meaningful at the age of 18 years.”

“So you have to be hungry, continue to work, continue to push. I talked a lot with Max; he knew it and had a good family around him. He was not real.”

Rice has taken the role of mentoring

The signing of the club’s record said he had taken the teenager under his wings “a little” along with Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri.

Rice has the same path of progress through the West Ham Academy before becoming a regular starter at a young age, and he wants to share his experience.

Arsenal supporters must wait patiently before Dowman made his debut

While teenagers have practiced with the first team regularly in recent months, he was unreadable to play senior football this season.

The premiere league rule states that a player must be registered at a level under 16 or more to play. When Dowman started the campaign under the 15s, that means he could not be registered for league equipment. Fans must wait until the end of this year to get the game time on the Mikel Arteta side.
