Arsenal look to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool on Saturday as they face a trip to play Brighton.

The Gunners won 3-1 against Brentford in their last match, after goals from Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli helped Mikel Arteta’s side to victory.

They currently sit second in the Premier League table, six points behind Liverpool, who play rivals Manchester United on Sunday.

Arteta will have to make some interesting selection choices, as the Gunners will be without Ben White, Bukayo Saka, Raheem Sterling and Takehiro Tomiyasu due to injury.

Additionally, defender Jurrien Timber will also be unable to play after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season last time out. The Dutchman will return in Arsenal’s next match against Newcastle in the FA Cup.

The Gunners face a Brighton side, who are 10th in the Premier League, and have not won a game in their last seven.

Arsenal are in favor of not testing the Brighton team

Arteta’s men are the better team in all metrics as they are currently in better form and are better than the Seagulls on paper. Bookmakers are backing the Gunners to get all three points on Saturday.

According to Oddschecker, Arsenal are 13/16 favorites to win, which gives them a 55.2% chance of winning against Brighton.

The Seagulls are backed to win at odds of 15/4 (21.1%), and a draw is backed at 3/1 (25%). We predict a 3-1 win for Arsenal against an out-of-form but talented Brighton side.
